How to Be a School Nurse

Love Kids….. Be able to multitask…… Treat children like they are your own…..  

Really listen….. Take a lunch break at 1:30 every day….. Family comes first…. Give each teacher her own supply of Band-aides….. Wear comfortable shoes…… Make friends with office staff and the custodian….. Decorate your office….. Empower kids by never doing for them what they could do for themselves…… Dress up on Halloween….. Don’t take yourself too seriously….. Collaborate….. Communicate….. Get a Rolodex….. Always wear clothes with pockets….. Pray….. Keep your door open….. Dispense positive reinforcement….. Cherish volunteers and substitutes….. Smile often….. Love the Philadelphia Phillies….. Seize teachable moments…..  Support teachers….. Teach peace….. Always uses TLC….. Wear gloves….. Play music….. Ask kids…… Believe in kids….. Love Kids.
