St. Mary Magdalen Church Expansion

May 15, 2005

St. Aloysius , Philadelphia 1898

St. Aloysius Church, Philadelphia will close this July.  We have a bid to purchase these 110 year old German stained glass windows.  These windows will be a treasure for our new church.  We hope to place the Crucifixion scene with Mary Magdalen kneeling in front of the Cross behind the main altar.  The money we pay for these windows will benefit St. Gabriel's Parish and School in Philadelphia. The eight larger panels of glass windows will be fitted around the shrines of the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph on each side of the church.  The stained glass windows in our present church will be used around the new daily chapel along with our present altar, tabernacle, statues of the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, and the Stations of the Cross.
