The Lion

The small windows (VI, VII, XII, & XIII) are located over the four side doors.  We have the symbols of the four gospels.  These symbols were first used by Ezechiel and later by John in the Apocalypse to stand for the throne to God's glory.

The Lion stands for the gospel of Mark, which begins with John's preaching in the desert.
