Our alumni have been informing us of what is happening in their lives. Needless to say, we are happy to hear how many are making a different in this world! Please keep in touch!
Congratulations to the following high seniors on their accomplishments!!!
We are pleased to announce that William Ghaul, Class of 2008, was selected for the First Team All-Catholic Offensive Line and Defensive Line for football. He also made third team all-city. Last evening we learned Bill was chosen out of all 1st team players to receive the scholar athlete award. To be chosen for this award, coaches nominate players. The league members go
to the athlete schools to requests their academic records, and then a committee chooses the winner. Madeline Jacobs, Class of 2008, was accepted at Boston College for the class of 2016. Kenny DeStefano, Class of 2008, is committed to play soccer at John Hopkins University next year.
These graduates of the SMM Class of 2008 are National Merit Semifinalist: Madeline Inglis, Ryan Fulmer and Joseph Sincavage.
As other former graduates who are seniors in high schools are preparing for their future, we would love to hear of their plans. Also, we always like to hear what is happening in our former students’ lives.

James Starr, SMM '04

Kurt Gravina, SMM '04 - United States Army - Camp Ederle, Italy
Kurt Gravina wrote: “These are the ones that come immediately to mind, as I am sure there are more. If nobody has mentioned this yet, I ask that not only all service members get petitioned for during morning prayers and during mass, but especially those who are my fellow alumni. It would be a great personal favor to me that Jim get specifically mentioned since he and I have been best friends since before we ever stepped foot in SMM. We are now both 21, and I am sure you are doing the math and realize that 17 years of friendship is a long time for anyone, but we mind as well be brothers. He is in one of the most dangerous places in the world right now. Thank you for understanding.”

Our parish community should be very proud of what these graduates have accomplished because you helped provided them with their formational and educational background. We would love to hear about what is happening in our former students’ lives (we welcome a photo for the website, too).
Also, Please let me know if more of our graduates are serving our country. Please e-mail us at presidentsmm@verizon.net or call Ms. Miniszak at 610-566-8821 at ext. 122
