St. Mary Magdalen Youth Ministry
Welcome
Our Junior Youth Group continues to meet every Wednesday from 7:00-8:30. In our weekly meet- ings, we discuss our
religious beliefs and doctrine as Catholics, and do activities and play games
that reinforce the week topic of that week. We use role play and small group discussions to help kids
see how our beliefs can be applied to their everyday lives. It’s not always easy for children (or
adults!) to live the way Jesus asks us to, so showing kids how to put their
faith into action is essential, especially in today’s world.
Recently, our discussion was about the creation of the heavens and earth, and that God created all of us in His image and likeness. God calls us His children and loves us unconditionally, just as our parents do. A focal point of our discussion was that God’s love is perfect and unwavering. Our Youth Group is also working on serving the needs of others this Christmas season by collecting gifts and food for area families with severe financial difficulties.
