Saint Mary Magdalen Parish Religious Education is centered on the development of true spiritual values, and the encouragement
of the attitudes, understanding, and behaviors of a member of the Catholic community. Our goal is to
help your child to reach Jesus: to
know that he/she is especially
loved and valued by Christ.
Our catechetical programs begin
in Grade 1 and extends to Grade 7. Students who complete
this program of studies are thus prepared to complete initiation
into the Catholic faith through the sacrament of Confirmation.
Levels 1 - 5 Students:
Will attend class with their parents once per month on Sunday after 9:30 a.m. Mass; students will attend class in the classroom with a catechist, and parents will attend an information session led by priests and deacons. This is a program designed for family engagement—parents attend the classes, too. Instruction is given for the beginning of each unit, with remaining lessons taught by the parents for the remainder of the month.
Levels 6 -7 Students:
Attend classes on the First and
Third Sundays of each month (October through May) immediately following the 9:30 AM Mass.

We are called by our Baptism to grow in hope and love and to respond to our challenge as Catholics to spread the Word of God.
In answer to this call, our mission is to offer education and opportunities for spiritual growth of both the students and catechists of the program. The Religious Education Program of Saint Mary Magdalen Parish strives to assist parents in helping their children
to develop a life-long relationship with Jesus through the
teachings of beliefs, doctrine, tradition and service to others.
