Liturgical Faith Formation
Celebrating the Eucharist as a community is our Catholic faith's 'source and summit.'
By participating in the liturgical ministries of the altar, members will grow in understanding and love of the liturgy and experience Christ's saving work more fully.
Our Catholic faith calls us to discover ways to deepen our faith, love, and understanding of the Mass. Each time we participate in the Mass, hear God's words and receive the Eucharist, we become the Body of Christ. St. Mary Magdalen welcomes you and hopes you consider joining our community's liturgical formations and services.
In addition to these, please visit our faith formation programs and service and mission ministries opportunities to grow in faith and service.

Altar Servers
Youth (Grade 4+)
In fourth grade and up, students are prepared to assist the priest during Mass, weddings, funerals, and other liturgical services. Servers need to be baptized Catholics who have received the First Holy Communion.
Serving at the altar allows youth to become involved in the sacred liturgy, serve the parish community, and consider religious vocations.

Lectors
Adults, 16+
Lectors are trained, fully-initiated Catholic volunteers who proclaim the Liturgy of the Word (First and Second Readings) and the Prayer of the Faithful during the Mass.
Lectors demonstrate reverence for Scripture, and they play a vital role in the celebration of the Liturgy by sharing the Word of God with the congregation.
