Welcome to PREP

The Saint Mary Magdalen Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) focuses on nurturing deep spiritual values and fostering the attitudes, understanding, and behaviors of Catholic community members. Our aim is to guide your child in developing a personal relationship with Jesus and helping them understand that they are deeply loved and valued.

Our catechetical programs begin in Grade 1 and extend to Grade 7. Students who complete this studies program are prepared to meet the initiation into the Catholic faith through the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The 2025-2026 Program Overview:

The current PREP format includes:

All students and their families are expected to attend Mass each weekend.
Classes are held in person for all grades.
Monday classes are in the school from 5 to 6 p.m. for all students.
A homeschool is an option for those who prefer that format.
PREP calendar of schedule is available below.
PREP classes run from September to May.

New Families: Online Registration Form (Above) For New Families Only

Upon completion of the above registration form, the Religious Education office will receive notification, and the office will review your application. If approved, you will receive an automated email from Parish Giving with login credentials for an account that was created for you. Sign into your Parish Giving account to make a payment and select sessions for your child or children.

Returning Families:

If you’re a returning PREP family, please do not fill out a form. You will receive an email from Parish Giving on the morning that Registration opens (May 27, 2025). The email you receive will contain login credentials for a Parish Giving account that was created for you. There is no need for you to create a Parish Giving account. Once Registration opens, if you do not receive the automated email, please contact PREP@stmarymagdalen.net or call the PREP office.
