Religious Education
WELCOME
Welcome to Saint Mary Magdalen's Parish Religious Education Program, or PREP. Our religious education program focuses on nurturing deep spiritual values and fostering the attitudes, understanding, and demeanors in our young Catholic community members. We aspire to guide your child in developing a personal relationship with Jesus and helping them understand that they are deeply loved and valued.
Our catechetical programs begin in Grade 1 and extend through Grade 7. Students who complete this study program are prepared to be initiated fully into the Catholic faith through the Sacrament of Confirmation.
OVERVIEW & FORMAT

All students and their families are expected to attend Mass each weekend.

Classes are held in person for all grades.

Monday classes are in the school from 5 to 6 p.m. for all students.

A homeschool is an option for those who prefer that format.

PREP classes run annually from September to May.
HOW TO REGISTER
Registration for the upcoming school year begins anew in late May or early June. Be sure to register by the first week of August to help ensure we have all the necessary information so that your child's materials are available for pickup on Catechetical Sunday in September.
Please follow the enrollment process below, depending on whether your family is new to PREP or returning.
New Families:
Upon completion of the below registration form, the Religious Education office will receive notification, and the office will review your application. If approved, you will receive an automated email from Parish Giving with login credentials for an account that was created for you. Sign in to your Parish Giving account to make a payment and select sessions for your child or children.
Returning Families:
If you are a returning PREP family, please do not fill out a new registration form.
You will receive an email from Parish Giving on the morning Registration opens.
The email you receive will contain login credentials for a Parish Giving account that was created for you. There is no need for you to create a Parish Giving account. If you do not receive the automated email and have checked your junk mail folder and any alternative email account, please contact our PREP Assistant at PREP@stmarymagdalen.net, or call the PREP office (Ext. 125) during parish office hours.
