Sacraments & Rites
The Sacraments are Christ's gift to us that provide us with His grace.
Sacraments include religious ceremonies or acts that are regarded as an outward and visible sign of inward and spiritual divine grace—in particular in the Roman Catholic (and many Orthodox Churches) the rites of: Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Ordination, and Matrimony.
These sacramental gifts enable us to believe the truths of his faith, live according to his moral code, and grow in his gift of divine life. These seven sacraments are a fundamental part of the Catholic faith.

Baptism
The Beginning of Life
We commend you for welcoming Christ into your child! May God bless you in raising and caring for your child. Your child will learn many things from you and others throughout their lives, but none as important as living a Christian life as a member of a community of worship, commitment, and service.

Holy Eucharist
In the Presence of the Lord
The Holy Eucharist is the foundation and pinnacle of Catholic life. As Catholics, the First Eucharist occurs only after receiving Baptism and First Reconciliation (the first Sacrament of Penance) must precede the first reception of the Eucharist.
By faithfully receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, we deepen our communion with God and our fellowship with one another.

Reconciliation
Rising Again to New Life
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as Penance or Confession. This Sacrament is God's gift to us so that any sin committed after Baptism can be forgiven. In confession we have the opportunity to repent and recover the grace of friendship with God.
Confession is an experience of the gift of God's boundless mercy.
Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered on Saturday from 9 to 10 AM and Sunday from 6:15 to 6:45 PM, or call our office to schedule a private time.

Confirmation
Come, Holy Spirit, Come!
Confirmation is a sacrament where baptized individuals receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit, strengthening their faith and equipping them to live as witnesses of Christ. The Holy Spirit strengthens the gifts received at Baptism, enabling us to live out their faith more fully and to be active witnesses of Christ in our community and throughout the world.

Marriage
A Union Sealed by God
In a sacramental marriage, God's love becomes present to the couple in their total union and flows through them to their family and community. By their permanent, faithful, and exclusive giving to each other, the couple reveals something of God's unconditional love. The sacrament of Christian marriage involves their entire life's journey together. Their life becomes sacramental to the extent that the couple unites with God's actions and sees themselves as living "in Christ" and Christ living and acting in their relationship, attitudes, and actions.

Holy Orders
Heed the Call
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time. Thus, it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry encompassing three degrees: episcopate (bishop), presbyterate (priest), and diaconate (deacon).
Anointing
of the Sick
Comfort and Healing
The Anointing of the Sick is the sacrament that helps unite those suffering with Jesus' saving and healing power. Through this sacrament, people receive forgiveness for their sins and comfort in their suffering; they are restored in spirit, and sometimes they even experience the return of physical health. This sacrament is for the seriously ill, injured, those undergoing surgery, or the elderly.
